Hey, I am Muazz

Building products
that move the needle.

Product Manager @ FamApp · Payments and Fintech · Bangalore
Muazz

The short version

My goal is simple. Walk into a coffee shop, look around, and quietly count at least 3 people using a product I built, without them knowing it was me.

I'm Muazz, PM at FamApp, where I own payments health for millions of teenagers making their first digital transactions. I obsess over basis-point improvements most people would never notice.

Currently, I am exploring the XR space, building random things like mafia games at 1 AM, and occasionally running quiz nights with product-launch intensity. If there's a gap, I want to fill it.

Outside of work, I trek, surf poorly, cook ambitious meals nobody asked for, and try to do one new thing every month. Show up, figure it out, make it memorable.

The Company

What is Avaana?

Australia's largest health and wellbeing booking platform with 5,000+ allied health practitioners. Avaana connects people to physio, massage, counselling and more with real-time 24/7 booking and results-based pricing.

My Role

Reported directly to the CEO for 6 months. Joined when Avaana was a pure B2C marketplace. Left having built the research and presentation that kicked off their pivot to B2B, bringing corporate wellness budgets into the picture.

What I Shipped
  • Ran user research with practitioners and corporate buyers, found the gaps, and put together the B2B roadmap from zero
  • Built the pivot case and took it to the CEO and exec team. That presentation became the starting point for the company's new direction
  • Reworked onboarding with progressive disclosure and journey mapping. Drop-offs fell 20%, confirmed through A/B tests across a 6-person team
  • Worked on SEO and conversion across the site, mapping the full user journey from acquisition to retention on both the practitioner and end-user sides

YC Startup School India

Y Combinator's first physical Startup School in India. 2,000 founders in one room, six speakers who actually built it, and the recurring feeling that the best advice doesn't change.

Takeaways

  • Customer obsession isn't a value on a slide. It's a daily practice. Every founder on stage kept coming back to it.
  • Lived experience with the problem is the real moat. Trust is the one thing AI won't replace for a while.
  • Almost every speaker quoted a Paul Graham essay. Different essays. Same instinct.
  • 90% of the name tags in the room had "AI" on them. 100% of the speakers said they were tinkering with AI and building on top of it. Founders, investors, aspirants, everyone has the same euphoric FOMO.

FinTech Conference March 2026 · Bangalore

Razorpay FTX'26

India's most exclusive FinTech conference. Founders and operators pressure-testing AI, payments infrastructure, and what the next layer of financial tech actually looks like.

Takeaways

  • AI optimises execution, not product-market fit. The core thesis still has to come from you.
  • Authentication is the biggest blocker for agentic payments. Trust is the unlock nobody has cracked yet.
  • AI adoption is still very surface level across most companies, companies are still trying to figure what AI native features to build.
  • Optimisation has evolved from SEO to GEO and now agentic influence will emerge.

Builders Dinner

An evening I organised with FamApp and Mixpanel, bringing product builders into the room with Prasanna, CPO of Meesho, for an off-the-record conversation about what building at scale actually feels like.

Takeaways

  • Customer obsession isn't a value, it's a survival instinct. The PMs who stayed closest to their users were the ones who made it.
  • Meesho pivoted across business models in the early days. The pivot wasn't a failure, it was the strategy.
  • Prasanna's take on AI: the core skill is still problem solving. Tools change, that doesn't.
